First topic message reminder :

im really not that good but i guess ill post one up. dont be too harsh!


Just sing a sad song in the wind
Think about all past times that had been
Cuz they aren’t ever gonna be back around
But don’t worry theres no need to frown
these will forever be the one thing it seems
That we cherish like we cherish the wind
on a hot summers evening in town

my chest slowly rises and falls
With my hands curled up in a ball
That was the only time that we could see
The visions now our past memories

Like the time we got to meet the whole band
And we had the honor of shaking their hands
we drove for miles just so we could see
the ones that could make our heart beat
with the simplest words in a song
and in union that came from the stands
those words could be heard all around

too quickly the day past when i
Got to look in all 8 of their eyes
A bigger smile never spread on my face
Than the memory from that past april day

And just like my mother once said
All these good things must come to an end
But all these visions from memories past
Forever in our hearts will they last

and another one i still like:

only color standing there
something bright and very rare
bursting up from the ground
your rosey color is hardly found
explanding far and shining bright
catching every hint of light
growing steady, growing strong
seems like nothing could go wrong
out of nowhere comes the grey
ruining that perfect day
raindrops come poring down
forming from the darkened cloud
nothing works to make you see
that things were never meant to be
whatever happened to that time
when things were going so sublime
now just wilting to the ground
the warming light cant be found
breaking down and slowly dying
at least you are no longer crying

new one:

take your hand into my own
the stars will be our light
before they even know we're gone
we'll flee into the night

feel the sand bleed through out toes
the city still remains
but now so far away from us
we've stepped into the game

a dance here not of lovers
but the hardened hearts of friends
guards let down will build back up
before the day begins

here beneath the darkened sky
your hips sway with my own
like winds that sweep through dessert nights
the beats cares our souls

tomorrow when they take our pride
we've got one thing to hold
the dance beneath the moonlit sky
shall only be our own

thanks sonia! it was one of the first that i ever wrote :)

those days in 8th grade
were a long time away
not too long to forget
falling in love that day

shes been on his mind t
through the years of time
just wants her in return
but everytime she declines

dont know what to say
she doesnt see you that way
just drinks from the bottle
to keep his heart at bay

there were others involved
but they never stayed the same
shes the only way who seemed
to stay in his mind framed

little does he know
she wishes he could let go
theyve been close for a long time
so she knows all his hearts woes

not like he hasnt tried
but after all this time
he's afraid his hearts
eternally inclined

each time she wonders
what exactly does he see
how is it he can love
a person thats like me

its the same old song
we cross now and again
his heart wont absolve
destined just to be friends

and if he had the choice
he would set his heart free
cuz he goes on knowing
that they would never be

so this ones way different than my usual. here it goes:

the strings that hold us together
are only becoming thinner
soon theres nothing left
we're all broken to some extent
liars, thieves, hypocrites
would you call that a family?

i once trusted you above all else
those days ended long ago
whats left of us is built on fake truths
liars, thieves, hypocrites
these are all to familiar
your impossible just like the rest

i watch you beneath the hoods
that shadow my face
watching but no longer caring
or at least i pretend not to
dig a whole into the ground
bury yourself below these rocks
you throw your life away

others are much too kind
but im afraid my hearts grown cold as stone
chip away the rock
and maybe you can see it again
for now i give you no sympathy
pick yourself up and we'll see

remember that i once trusted you
above all else
nobody else received that fortune
neither those who wished or seeked it
pick youself and then we'll see
for now
my hearts grown cold

for years we've been under distress
but it wont go away
that scars that rack up our body
are proof of that pain

we drown in the flood of out tears
still sunk after all of these years
i long to ride with the waves
to not fight with them everyday

these desperate cries are pleading
come save the day
but they cant hear over the winds
that whips through the rain

tomorrow we'll start over again
and hope for the best at the end
you might have left myself torn
but you have not yet won the war

with the weight of the world on our shoulders
we'll fight back until this day is over
someday we'll arrive one yours shores
or be lost at the sea evermore

this sickness plagues my heart

but boy i swear that smile

dance around this sweat filled room
enjoy it just as me

when time creeps by

break down the walls
between you and me
im a person with a heart
sometimes its hard to see

dont mind the mask
inside i scream for help
trying to figure out
how to play the cards that ive been dealt

a smirk protrudes his mouth
as we play this wicked game
he knows he has a hand
that puts all mine to shame

how we survive is what
makes us who we are
but fear and avoidance
is what lined up as my cards

so ill put back on my masks
and pretend that all is well
ill watch the cards lay out again
and hope for something else
