First topic message reminder :

im really not that good but i guess ill post one up. dont be too harsh!


Just sing a sad song in the wind
Think about all past times that had been
Cuz they aren’t ever gonna be back around
But don’t worry theres no need to frown
these will forever be the one thing it seems
That we cherish like we cherish the wind
on a hot summers evening in town

my chest slowly rises and falls
With my hands curled up in a ball
That was the only time that we could see
The visions now our past memories

Like the time we got to meet the whole band
And we had the honor of shaking their hands
we drove for miles just so we could see
the ones that could make our heart beat
with the simplest words in a song
and in union that came from the stands
those words could be heard all around

too quickly the day past when i
Got to look in all 8 of their eyes
A bigger smile never spread on my face
Than the memory from that past april day

And just like my mother once said
All these good things must come to an end
But all these visions from memories past
Forever in our hearts will they last

okay the last one i wasnt too happy with but i satisfied with this one atm. hope you enjoy it!:

I cant count how many times
that ive hidden in disguise
right before you but don’t seem to notice
with a weight, trapped inside
a prisoner of my own mind
free to leave once the walls here are broken

ashamed of my life
so im here to serve my time
till a break in the bars have been given
with a dent in my pride
ill have a look on the inside
with a hope that all can be forgiven

But you're not quick to judge
When someones stuck up in a rut
The nature, it just doesn’t suit you
Instead youd look them in the eyes
And make them realize, saying
Chin up, the worlds out before you.

Like a bulbs found a light
This invigorates my life
Though ill still have to fight off my demons
With a fist in the sky
I refuse to run and hide
In hopes that one day I can seize them

i havent seen you for years
just through a misty haze
i came upon a drug
that set my life ablaze
i lost my house, i lost my life, i left my family
to bow down on glass shards
that bled through wounded knees
i know now from these days
how precious life can be

what would happen
if i were to stab myself
would you feel my pain
or let my body rot
cuz i know that i deserve
for my heart to stop

and if there was a way
for me to stop the pain
id ball it up like paper
to throw in acid rain
i never meant to hurt you
i was filled with greed
for the tiny sharpened needle
that held all my needs

what would happen
if i forgive myself
is this within my reach
or would i still rot in hell
there's a hundred different sorry's
that i have to tell
and if this doesnt work
i wil beg for forgiveness
cuz if i cant get you back
then this life is just useless

your not afraid of much
when theres nothing left to lose
with no binds to hold us back
we'll do anything we choose

we dont need our names in lights
we dont need those fancy cars
id be proud to live with nothing
as long as you stilll hold my heart

look at all the rest
flailing over petty things
i look to you my darling
and see my diamond ring

here from this day foward
we'll grow older hand in hand
like the ones we see in lines
down at the grocery stands

we'll lay upon the mountains
when life's become to hard
my lover ill still be there
to look up at the stars

we'll take trips down the beach lines
and paddle through the waves
ill stand here by your side
until we hit our graves

I cant tell u where im going
But I can tell you where ive been
I had written out my death wish
When I was barely seventeen
All my friends around me
Were as happy as can be
Floating down the rivers,
I was swimming up the stream

Ive set aside my death wish
Since ive reached the age twenty
If it wasn’t for the music
Who knows just where id be
I guess it doesnt really matter
Just accept that I am here
My veins may still pulse with life
But im swimming in my fears

Everyone around me
Has made plans out of their life
They see everything in colors
But im stuck in black and white
Im thankful to be alive
And have my oppurtunities
But I just wish that I could see
The things that they can see

One day ill pack my things in bags
And be on my merry way
I don’t know where im going
And I don’t know where ill stay
I still dream of travel
And to look out at the world
When all my dreams come true
I think ill be that happy girl

when you wish upon a star
mine have always started with
to not have a heavy heart
i have more than i could wish for
and its not that life is bad
when it all comes down to it
its just me that i cant stand

im stuck between myself
and the who i want to be
i cant help look up at my hero
and think "why cant that be me?"
your caring and your kindness
has always encouraged me
when your voice streams through my ears
i want to be all i can be

i may not be much
and struggle getting out of bed
but its clear that if im living
i havent given up just yet

Aw, no problem it was really good

okay this is nowhere near done. like im missing the first half of it since im not quite sure how to begin it but i was way too excited about it to not share what i have with you. let me know what you think.

It taught me love
Not just the passionate kind for another person
But for the strangers we surpass on the sidewalk
For the people whose stories we may not know
Or may never know
But nonetheless struggle
Or have struggled with a burden that felt as if it held the weight of the world
For myself.

It taught me I am worthy
That I am worthy enough to continue the life that has been placed upon my hands.
To seek a future in which I will succeed.
And in the end
Be happy with what I have accomplished.

You see.
Its not just a piece of plastic
Its not just a thing that holds a fast or slow tune to help the minutes pass by on a ticking clock
Its not just a sound to fill the droning silence in an empty room
No.
It is so much more.

It’s the connection.
It’s the beauty
seen through the eyes of its lover.
It’s the force that reminds me of a heartbeat in my chest in times I fear its beginning to fade.

Without it
I would not be the person I am today
I may not have found the will to survive through another onslaught of emotions chaining me to my bed
My life may be nowhere near the place I wish it to be
But with it
I am still here

It taught me there are things that hold more value than a pretty penny
That there is more to life than the lies we have been told
By corporate propaganda
“Poetry, beauty, romance, love
These are what we stay alive for”
Its what I stay alive for.

And they say music cant teach you anything…

ya i know, i feel like im missing half the poem but cant really think of how to start it
